History

Feena Electronics was mostly just myself (Mike Costa) moonlighting to develop a dream. It all started when I was in college in the late 90s during the MP3 explosion. I wanted to spin out of my computer (note the CRT screen in some of the pictures) and I knew vinyl records would not stand the test of time. As a computer engineering major with an interest in DJing, I was in a great position to make a MIDI DJ controller for the latest popular software like Traktor DJ Studio.

The name Feena is a nod to my mothers nick name “Fina.” It represents passion, love, hard work, and authenticity. All traits I learned from my mother and father that I applied to this company and product. I want to thank my friends and family for helping to make this dream a reality.

Scroll down to view some of the earliest prototypes made with hand etched PCBs circa year 2000, up to the FMDJ9303 controller that finally launched & sold world wide.
